A few days ago, the 2023 Nomad Passport Index (Nomad Passport Index) is newly released!

The Nomad passport index is different from other passports that only focus on the number of visa-free to assess the usefulness of a country's passport, this assessment includes five criteria such as the number of visa-free visas, taxation, perception of a country, dual nationality and personal freedom, the first two weights account for 50% and 20% respectively, and the last three items each account for 10%.

The ranking of the world's strongest passports in 2023 is out!

Valuation experts explain that taxation refers to the tax rate that a country imposes on its citizens, and whether it taxes overseas citizens;

Perception measures subjective feelings and objective data, including reference to the Global Happiness Report and the Human Rights Development Index.

The dual citizenship program measures whether a citizen can acquire the citizenship of a second country and whether a foreigner can be naturalized as a national.

Therefore, this ranking is no longer just a single factor, but a comprehensive assessment of passports.

The Nomad Capitalist report writes that the main reason why the United Arab Emirates has jumped to become the world's strongest passport within a year is that in recent years it has been loosened to allow foreigners to apply for dual citizenship, supplemented by a free travel environment, a friendly business environment and a tax system.

The top 10 countries were announced, with Luxembourg, Switzerland, Ireland, Portugal, Germany, the Czech Republic, New Zealand, Sweden, Finland and the Netherlands in that order.
