Her mother has always had a dream of being an artist, but because of family reasons, she has not been able to realize it, so she has placed this dream on her daughter. In 1945, her mother formed the "American Air Orchestra" for her 9-year-old daughter and began to perform on the small stage of her hometown.

In 1947 (at the age of 11), during a performance, she was greatly praised by the famous singer Masao Koga at that time. Encouraged, her mother renamed her Miku Skylark, hoping that her daughter would become a lark flying in the sky.
