This is an oil painting reflecting the Nanchang Uprising. Nanchang, the place where the people's army was born. In the streets of this city with the reputation of "Hero City", places named after "Bayi" can be seen everywhere: Bayi Square, Bayi Park, Bayi Avenue, August 1st Uprising Monument... All of this stems from a far-reaching armed uprising that took place here on August 1, 90 years ago. This date was later recognized as the founding day of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Some of the details of the uprising have long been condensed in the Jiangxi Grand Hostel, which was opened up as the "August 1st Uprising Memorial Hall" after the founding of New China, a century-old building that was the general headquarters of the rebel army at that time. The light and shadow are scattered, and the collections are silent like thunder; the years are like songs, and the scenes are timeless. Today, let us once again look back at the wind and rain road that can be sung and wept, and trace the history of this army from the new birth to the name of the army. Xinhua News Agency
