Many people go to temples and like to worship the bodhisattvas, if you encounter these four bodhisattvas while burning incense, be sure to worship them. The full name of a bodhisattva is Bodhi Satsu, which means enlightenment, wisdom and path, and sata, the meaning of sentient beings and affectionateness, and is called the three yanas together with sound and hearing, and karma. That is, to seek supreme bodhi with wisdom, to transform sentient beings with compassion, and to practice paramitia.
1. Manjushri.
Legend has it that everyone who goes to Mount Wutai can meet Manjushri, his ashram is on Mount Wutai, if you go to Mount Wutai, you must pay your respects, Manjushri is also known as Manjushri, Manjushri, Prince of Law. Manjushri symbolizes great wisdom, the representative of wisdom, and his mount is a green lion.
All the troubles of the world stem from confusion, and confusion is the absence of wisdom, and if we want to break through confusion, we need wisdom, so when we go to Mount Wutai, we must worship it, and worship Manjushri not to ask him to protect himself, but to learn from him and learn from his great wisdom.
2. Puxian Bodhisattva.
Puxian represents "great travel", and his mount is the six-toothed white elephant, also known as Samandovadhara, which means to have immeasurable wishes. The scripture says, "Although you smell a lot, if you do not practice, if you do not smell, etc., if you say that you eat, you will not be full." "When we arrive at Mount Emei, we must pay a respect, because only by implementing what you know into action can you gain something and truly benefit, and Puxian stands for "doing".
3. Jizo Bodhisattva.
The ashram of Jizo Bodhisattva is on Jiuhua Mountain, he represents the great wish and filial piety, symbolizing the "power of wishes", his mount is the true listening, in the process of practice, we must not only have compassion and action, but also have filial piety, and we must be more filial to our parents.
4. Guanyin Bodhisattva.
Guanyin is one of the bodhisattvas we are most familiar with, his ashram is on Putuo Mountain, he represents "great compassion", symbolizes "compassion", and his mount is the golden retriever. He took great compassion as his wish and aimed at saving suffering and suffering, so when people encounter difficulties, they like to worship Guanyin.
In the process of practice, we must study the compassion of Avalokiteshvara, the wisdom of Manjushri, the virtues of Puxian, and the great wishes of Jizo, these four bodhisattvas represent the "wisdom and compassion wishes" and are also known as: "the four great bodhisattvas".
