Antonio Conte has stunned Tottenham's stars and some players hope he is cut now.
The angry Tottenham boss returned to Italy yesterday for a short break, while his astonishing rant still shocked the club after Saturday's 3-3 draw with Southampton.
The first team knows that Conte, whose contract expires this summer, is unlikely to be in charge of the team next season.
There is a feeling among the players that Tottenham Hotspur president Daniel Levy could even sack the Italian ahead of the next Premier League game against Everton on April 3.
Likewise, there are some players who will be happy that Conte won the title during the international break.
On Saturday, Conte lashed out at the players — and also attacked Tottenham Hotspur bosses — calling the situation "unacceptable".
"They don't want to play under pressure, they don't want to play under pressure.
"It's easy. Tottenham's story goes like this.
"For 20 years, the bosses have been there, but they have never won anything, but why?
"Is the fault just at the club, or on every coach who stays here?
"I've seen Tottenham's coach sitting on the bench.
"Until now I tried to hide the situation, but not now, because, I repeat, I don't want to see what I saw today because it's unacceptable for the fans and unacceptable."
Football circles generally agree that Conte's slamming of Tottenham Hotspur is accurate.
But many have also questioned his decision to express his feelings publicly, meaning his departure is now a foregone conclusion.
Since the current boss took over the club in 2001, the North Londoner has won one trophy, the 2008 EFL Cup.
SunSport revealed that when Tottenham Hotspur were eliminated by Sheffield United in the FA Cup match on March 1, the club hierarchy was furious as they kept Harry Kane on the bench.
Tottenham had 11 different managers at the time, including three after Pochettino's departure in 2019.
The Argentine coach led the team to the 2019 Champions League final against Liverpool in Madrid, but was sacked six months later.
Some fans would like to see Pochettino return, having a good relationship with Levy when he left the club.
