Taiwan has been China's territory since ancient times, but it has always been used by people with intentions to turn it into a "pawn" to balance the mainland. The Taiwan authorities are also eating inside and outside, ignoring the family affection that blood is thicker than water on both sides of the strait, in a vain attempt to "seek independence by taking advantage of the United States."
In order to "seek independence," Taiwan also does everything it can. This is mainly reflected in "expanding diplomatic relations" and "consolidating diplomatic relations", as if establishing diplomatic relations with other countries can prove that it does not belong to China. However, in recent years, the separatist forces of Taiwan independence have long been on the verge of dying!
With China's growing strength and rising international status, more and more countries with "diplomatic relations" with Taiwan have realized that only by having good relations with the mainland can they taste more sweetness and obtain resources that Taiwan cannot give. Therefore, in recent years, some countries have repeatedly announced that they have "severed diplomatic relations" with Taiwan.
However, just recently, a small Pacific country did the opposite, seeking to "establish diplomatic relations" with Taiwan!
And this country, which previously maintained diplomatic relations with Chinese mainland, is now openly clamoring to "sever diplomatic relations" with the mainland. The country's leader even arrogantly said: If China wants to reunify Taiwan by force, the country will join the United States in a war against China!
This country is the Federated States of Micronesia, a small island country located between China and the United States, with a total area of only more than 700 square kilometers and a total population of only more than 100,000, without even its own army, and the country's defense is responsible for the United States.
In fact, although Micronesia has diplomatic relations with China, it has always maintained close relations with Taiwan in its foreign policy. Although they don't have much strength, they have been trying to get more resources and support in this way.
The small country's public statement this time is because of the current tension between China and the United States, which may "detonate" at any time, and the country jumps out to express its position on sensitive issues and can obtain US resources and support.
On the other hand, it was Taiwan that once again used its "banknote capacity"!
It is reported that in February this year, Micronesia Federated States President Panuelo reached a "consensus" with the Taiwan side, if the Micronesia Federated States establishes diplomatic relations with Taiwan, it can obtain 50 million US dollars (about 1.54 billion Taiwan dollars) from Taiwan, and the Taiwan authorities cannot decide the use of this fund, which is at the country's disposal.
At the same time, Panuelo also made his attitude clear to the Taiwan side, and he was willing to transfer part of his country's projects to the Taiwan side, but it was not unconditional, and he had to hire local labor.
In fact, up to now, some small countries like the Federated States of Micronesia still maintain "official ties" with the Taiwan authorities, and these countries are just diplomatic relations "smashed" by the Taiwan authorities with money, which is a typical "money diplomacy"!
The Taiwan issue is where China's "counterscale" lies, and no country or individual can interfere in China's internal affairs for any reason!
The Federated States of Micronesia should think twice before acting, and not challenge the mainland's bottom line while enjoying the benefits of establishing diplomatic relations with China, undermine the "one-China" principle, and move some "careful thinking" that should not be moved. If we make a mistake on China's bottom line, there is only one way to go!
And the Taiwan authorities, using the hard-earned money of the people on the island to engage in some meaningless "diplomatic relations," abandon the safety of the people on the island, and repeatedly challenge the mainland's "bottom line," will forever be nailed to the pillar of shame and condemned!
The Taiwan issue brooks no concessions! The two sides of the strait belong to the same source, and the mainland's unwillingness to go to the point of fighting each other does not mean that it has given up the use of force! If the Taiwan authorities are obsessed, the mainland can only show mercy and "the family does not know the family"!
