Born in Hong Kong on 14 December 1983, Feng Xiyu is a Hong Kong singer and lyricist known for her crisp singing voice. In 1999, at the age of 16, Feng Xiyu joined Chen Guangrong's music studio and began to participate in the soundtrack of the film and the behind-the-scenes work of harmony singing. In 2007, she decided to move from behind the scenes to the front of the curtain, and in 2008 she joined SONY BMG to enter the music scene, using Feng Xiyu as her stage name. The more famous works include "Goodbye Policeman", "I Had a Cold in That Corner" and so on.
In 2003, she became known for her English song "Proud Of You", which was covered by Japanese singer Emi Fujita and was also the original song of "My Pride" and "The Girl With Wings" sung by Joey Yung. It is rumored that the song "Proud Of You" was written by Feng Cuihua to her mother and producer and her leader Chen Guangrong at the lowest point of her life, thanking them for their encouragement and support.
Another of the more well-known songs is "Shining Friends", which was covered by Hong Kong singing groups 2R and Cookies, and is also the theme song of the TVB tv series "When the Four Leaf Clover Hits the Tip of the Sword". The theme song of her sequel, "Red Sand Seal Clover.2", "Find Your Love", was also sung by her. In addition, she has sung commercial songs in Cantonese for Kangtai Travel Agency and black toothpaste.
Before moving to the front of the screen, she had not released records alone, only "Proud Of You" and "Shining Friends" were included in the Hong Kong-based miscellaneous disc "TV Magic", and another English work "Forever Friends" written and sung by her was included in the selection album "True Colors".
