The new TV anime adaptation of the original manga of the same name, Let's Go! Mountaineer girl Next Summit (ヤマノススメ Next Summit) announced that it will start airing in 2022, and the PV will continue to add new character voice actors.

This manga series was created by しろ and featured in the monthly comic book magazine Comic Earth Star, and was adapted into a short anime in 2013, with a second season in 2014 and a third season in 2018.

The story is themed after a female high school student who engages in mountaineering activities, and depicts Aoi (あおい), a protagonist who loves indoor activities and suffers from heights, and after re-encountering her friend Hyuga (ひなた), a friend of Aome Takema who loves outdoor activities, she hopes to see the sunrise at the top of the mountain as she did as she was a child.
