Ukrainian President Mirziyoyev meets with Kyrgyz cabinet chairman A. Zaparov
According to the Presidential Press Center of Uzbekistan, on March 9, local time, Ukrainian President Mirziyoyev met with visiting Kyrgyz cabinet chairman Achillbek Zaparov.
At the beginning of the talks, A. Zaparov conveyed Kyrgyz President Sadr Zaparov's sincere greetings to Mirziyoyev.
The practical implementation of the high-level agreement reached in Bishkek in January this year was discussed. The two sides paid special attention to further deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan, expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, energy, transportation and logistics, strengthening interregional ties, and strengthening cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
The two sides stressed the importance of accelerating the implementation of cooperation projects such as automobile manufacturing, joint cotton textile cluster construction, electrical appliance production, and joint development of mineral deposits. The meeting pointed out that this year the two countries will hold a series of joint activities at the parliamentary, government, experts, public and youth levels, aiming to deepen multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries. According to the Kyrgyz Cabinet News Center on the 9th, Achillbek Zaparov, chairman of the Kyrgyz cabinet and director of the presidential office who is visiting Ukraine, met with Saldol Umurzakov, director of the Ukrainian presidential office, to discuss hot issues of bilateral cooperation and the implementation of the agreement reached during President Mirziyoyev's visit to Kyrgyzstan.
"The effective implementation of the initiatives and agreements put forward by the two heads of state will create a 'multiplier effect' for the economic development of the border areas, attracting more investment, improving transportation accessibility, creating new jobs, and ultimately helping to improve the living conditions of residents," A. A. Zaparov led a delegation to visit Ukrainian enterprises
On the same day, A. Zaparov and members of the Kyrgyz government delegation also visited enterprises such as "Global Textile", "Fazeman Textile", "Yisoft Holdings" and "Iftihol Kiemsanot" located in Fergana and Namancan oblasts of Ukraine.
It is understood that the presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine reached an agreement in early 2023 and signed a cooperation agreement to establish textile production facilities in Jjjaralabad State.
In this context, the "Uzbek-Kyrgyz Development Fund" will allocate 16 million US dollars to build a modern textile enterprise comparable to the level of "Fazman Textile", which will be built in the Nokan district of the Gija region.
It is reported that "Fazemann Textile", established at the end of 2022, can produce 1 million finished garments per year, including men's, women's and children's clothing. The export value is estimated at $15 million per year.
