IT House news on March 9, foreign technology media tomshardware recently launched a video encoding test of AVC, HEVC and AV1, the results show that AMD GPUs still lag behind NVIDIA and Intel.

Test the graphics card:
NVIDIA: RTX 4090, RTX 3090, GTX 1650
Intel: A770, integrated UHD 770 graphics

Test results:
AV1 encoding test results are not much different from HEVC encoding, and the only advantage of AV1 is royalty-free.
NVIDIA Ada Lovelace NVENC hardware is the best performer, currently only available on RTX 4070 Ti and higher GPU models.
Intel's Arc GPUs also offer excellent quality and performance for streaming purposes. However, NVIDIA graphics cards offer richer tuning options and get more software support.
AMD GPUs are still lagging behind two friends. The RDNA 3-based RX 7900 series graphics cards perform best, but perform similarly in video coding to the GTX 10 series introduced in 2016.
