Zaozhuang City's state-owned second nursery was founded in 1971, formerly known as "Taierzhuang District Xiaohu Nursery". In 1979, it was officially named "Zaozhuang City Second Forest Breeding Nursery" by the Provincial Revolutionary Committee. In 1998, it was renamed "Zaozhuang City State-owned Second Nursery" by the Provincial Forestry Department. In 1998, the classified operation of state-owned forest farm nurseries carried out in our province complied with the provisions of the LuZheng Office of the Provincial Government [1998] No. 10 and the Provincial Forestry Department [1998] No. 1 document, and was rated as one of the four state-owned ecological public welfare nurseries in the province.

The nursery covers an area of 942 acres. It has 6,000 square meters of steel frame winter warm type high-quality seedling breeding greenhouse. Over the years, in accordance with the requirements of ecological public welfare nursery construction, we have continuously introduced excellent seedling varieties, improved seedling facilities, popularized practical technologies, improved the scientific and technological content of seedlings, and enhanced the competitiveness of seedlings in the market. Now it has developed into a modern high-tech demonstration garden and a supply base for characteristic seedlings that integrate new varieties of forests, fruits and flowers, and the introduction, experimentation, cultivation and promotion of new technologies. It has made positive contributions to the city's "Eighth Five-Year Plan" greening standards, the creation of national forest cities, national garden cities and the construction of ecological Zaozhuang.

The nursery cultivates 200,000 trees of poplar, 200,000 trees of cypress, 150,000 plants of ash, 50,000 plants of heather, and 30,000 plants of Wei Spear every year. There are 500 seedlings of 3-4 cm magnolia, 1000 3-15 cm magnolia, 5000 6-10 cm ash, 2000 2.5-4 m cedar, 1000 5-7 cm red leaf plum, 500 3-6 cm ziwei, and 1000 3-5 cm golden lucidum.
