One piece of news that shocked the United States today is that the US government confirmed that of the four American citizens kidnapped in Mexico last week, two have been killed and one of the other two survivors is injured and hospitalized. The four Americans drove across the U.S.-Mexico border to a Mexican clinic last week for a cheaper tummy tuck because they got lost and got caught in the fire of two Mexican gangs. Officials said Mexican gangs may have accidentally injured and kidnapped the Americans because they identified the wrong person. McGee, the mother of the five-year-old child, was the survivor of this when her friend was shot in the left leg. Her cousin and another friend were killed. Now the two survivors have been escorted across the U.S.-Mexico border by Mexican authorities, and the injured are being treated in Texas hospitals. Mexico's president intervened personally in the case, saying that authorities had arrested a suspect and that any perpetrators would be brought to justice.
