China's high-speed rail itself has quality because it is so big. China has more than twice as many high-speed trains as the rest of the world combined. The picture below is an early morning photo of a train station in a second-tier city in China.
First-tier cities like Beijing have hundreds of high-speed trains stopping in the city every day.
Chinese New Year is just a crazy house – an estimated 3 billion people/trips take place within a 2-week window. That's the equivalent of 10 trips per American over Christmas, or 5 trips per European over Christmas. All train tickets disappeared within 10 seconds of being available.
Last year, China's high-speed rail system made 1.5 billion trips, an annual increase of 30 percent. It's absolutely huge!
China's high-speed railway is better than the blue, and goes abroad to the world.
