For the chaotic script killing games in the society, Shanghai began to implement the "Interim Regulations on the Management of Script Killing Content in the Secret Room" in March 2022, becoming the first city in China to standardize the management of script killing.
The regulations emphasize that scripts that are not suitable for minors should be given tips, and at the same time regulate the content of script killing, making it clear that horror, cruelty, violence, and vulgar content should be resolutely resisted, and gimmicks such as human defects should not be used to attract consumers.
Li Xiaoxuan, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, suggested that public goods such as escape rooms and script killings should be included in the scope of supervision of legislation and law amendments, and a review and supervision mechanism should be established, real-time tracking and testing should be supported, and entertainment products such as puzzles, legal reasoning, and main themes should be supported.
