On March 2, 2023, local time, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities announced that a new passage was discovered inside the Pyramid of Khufu. The new channel discovered is located above the hollow structure discovered in 2017, and its specific function is still being studied. Some experts say it may be useful to relieve pressure on the pyramid's internal structure, but it may also be a passageway to other spaces. Located in the Giza region near Cairo, the Pyramid of Khufu is about 140 meters high and built about 4,500 years ago, making it the largest surviving pyramid in Egypt.
