Shanghai Chongming Island "Songslow" SOM LAND
Location: Chongming, Shanghai / Design: RooMoo
Located on Chongming Island in Shanghai, SOM LAND is a resort space that combines local customs and craftsmanship with natural villages, and focuses on nature and humanistic customs in the overall space arrangement and planning. Facing the water on both sides of the site, adjacent to the rural life of Laoyang Port and Hongmei Road landscape rivers and nature, and surrounded by national shelter forests and rivers, how to properly integrate with the natural environment is one of the main considerations in the design.
The loose outdoor garden design is based on the style planning of the natural environment, and the concept of "low maintenance" and "natural growth of plants" is adopted in the construction of the garden. At the same time, two of the old houses standing, under the consensus of the manager of Songslow, the resort space was executed and designed in the form of a renovation project.
The old house building originated from the house of the original village chief, and at the same time, because the local building regulations stipulate that the building renovation is based on the original building height and vertical shadow range, in this environment, we plan it as: a main building (accommodation building) with three floors; The other is an annex building with a one-story floor. The interior of the building was replanned by "increasing the number of floors", "adjusting the room layout", "staircase position", etc., while the exterior building was renovated for "roof", "window" and "exterior wall decoration".

Pyramid wooden house in the pine forest
Location: Huanggang, Hubei Province / Design: Wiki World + Advanced Architecture Lab AaL
Located in Huanggang City, Hubei Province, the Pyramid Wooden House is part of a World Nature Co-construction Project that will build a series of uniquely designed nature homes in the Heart Zone. The two pyramid wooden houses are located on the pine-covered hillside, in a quiet environment, there is no trace of artificiality within the line of sight, and for a moment, only the chirping of birds and insects and the comfort of the wind passing through the pine branches, at night, it is completely dark.
The overall form of the wooden house resembles a black pyramid, and the huge roof creates a great sense of security for the occupants in nature. Inside the pyramid is Zhou Zheng's attic bedroom, with only half of the ground floor being the living room and bathroom space, and the other half under the roof is an outdoor terrace, a comfortable place to rest under the eaves whether it is wind or rain. To reinforce this sense of security in nature, we set the height of the cornice to only 1.6 meters, which gives the impression that the building is close to us and within reach, and also creates a horizontally slender natural framing.
The pyramid side is 8 meters long, the apex is 6 meters high, the whole building is made of glulam wood structure, through digital technology to design and customize each special-shaped component and node, to achieve 100% full assembly construction. The large roof is made of original fire-burned wood, we don't want the house to be too obtrusive in nature, under the light of the dark forest, the pyramid wooden house adds a little mystery to this dense forest. Under the black, it is all warm raw wood, and everywhere people can see, it is the fragrance of warm wood.

Zeng Jiashan · Xiaoshan Qing Homestay
Location: Guangyuan, Sichuan / Design: Handing Design
The "Xiaoshan Qing Homestay" project is located in the fifth group of Yongle Village, Lijia Town, Zengjiashan. It is close to Wangyuan Mountain and Yuanyangchi Forest Park. The surrounding mountains and white clouds surround the excellent natural scenery. Xiaoshan morning sun, verdant, coincides with Su Shi's poetic meaning of "but the distant mountains are long, the clouds and mountains are chaotic, and the mountains are green", and "Xiaoshan Qing" is also named.
The homestay consists of a renovated public area and three-storey guest rooms, with a construction area of about 780m², with 11 rooms, and the rest are large public area facilities. The wood-style design is casual and sophisticated, and the warm atmosphere created by the warm furniture and the quiet and natural mountain scenery create a great experience for a travel and vacation.
Revolutionizing the old and innovating is a grasp of new opportunities and a continuation of old culture. The base of the homestay is composed of 1 old house and an open area. The old house was built in the 50s in the form of a wooden structure building with a stilt building in northern Sichuan, which has been uninhabited and washed by rain for many years, and it is close to collapse. The designer-turned-homestay owner hopes to revitalize the old house by transforming the homestay, and develop greater value while inheriting it.
Through a scientific and reasonable overall layout, the precarious old house is renewed. The design of the guest room building not only shapes more
The rich living content also optimizes the view of the guest room and reduces the impact of noise in the public area on the guest room.

S.FEEL Designer Hotel Taikoo Li Memorial Branch
Location: Chengdu, Sichuan / Design: HARMO Huanghe Design
SFEEL Designer Hotel Taikoo Li is located in Chengdu Dong'an South Road. It used to be one of the most old Chengdu areas, bordered by Chunxi Road, Shuijingfang in the south, Caojia Lane, Ma'an Road in the north... After more than 20 years of urban construction and development, most of the former city fireworks have been replaced by the fashionable Taikoo Li, 339, Lan Kwai Fong, but there are still some old shops to be demolished and unbuilt. This scene of old and new coexistence is full of drama.
The entrance elevator hall opens with a neat metal wall, and the end view uses the language of graphic design to arrange the hotel's English name in different ways. THE ILLUMINATED ARROWS MARK THE HOTEL'S SLOGEN "SOMEONE SOMETIME" AT ITS INCEPTION AND WHEN THE FIRST STORE OPENED AS A MEMORIAL.
The inner rooms of the building are adjacent to a large lush inner courtyard, and the garden view room is designed to pay attention to the dialogue between the courtyard view and the interior space. Through the limitation of the window surface, the outdoor landscape is organized and introduced into the interior by using the technique of frame scenery, and this limited "frame view" shields the distant building when viewed indoors, making people more focused on the tranquility brought by the green landscape.

Beijing Harrier Drop B&B
Location: Huairou, Beijing / Design: Large-scale architecture
Harrier Yu Fort is an extension of the Great Wall built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, and the narrow road on the west side of the rugged "Beijing Knot" must pass, and birds of prey have often been infested since ancient times, hence the name. After losing its military function, there are still more than a dozen families, although the houses have long been iteratively rebuilt, but 600 years of city stones and 300 years of ancient locusts, it is inevitable to whisper and sigh the years.
At the end of the narrow alley, there is the entrance to the courtyard, and behind the door a small attic is erected on the roof of the building. In the evening, the pink interior wall reflects the red light, and the attic illuminates like a lamp, hanging between the courtyard entrance and the beacon tower, waiting warmly.
When you enter the door, the courtyard was originally a little empty, so the eaves along the building were protruded, forming a spacious corridor, suitable for sitting underneath. The low eaves, on the one hand, are more solid, and divide the indoor view up and down, the upper frame overlooks the Great Wall, and the temperature sense of the solid wood opening fan under it is more intimate with the courtyard. The indoor furniture is lower in scale, and sinks the rest and sitting place, lowers the posture, changes the perspective, and the body changes or can perceive more possible beauty.
06.
Moon Companion Peak B&B
Location: Quzhou, Zhejiang / Design: Craftsman Zhuyu Space Design
The project is located at the foot of Jianglang Mountain, a world natural heritage, and is known as "the majestic crown of the world, the southeast of the beautiful jia". The main building is a townhouse. Nature, distant mountains, yard has become the main clue of design, using the transformation and penetration of interior and exterior space to respond to nature, the yard is not large, but rich in elements, the combination of stone scenery and dry landscape can meet the needs of various residents.
The unobstructed mountain view is the biggest highlight of the project, so abandon the sash and the floor-to-ceiling glass on the whole side to make the mountain view picturesque. The appearance of the building cannot be changed too much to maintain the unity of the street, and the use of a layer of shop signs to increase the vertical level of the building, so that the black tile and white wall logs also become layered colors. Clean silhouette and warm texture, every stop can see the scenery, smell the smell of nature, light and not greasy. The homestay with wabi-sabi style aesthetics fits with the empty mountains and hidden wilderness, not like weaving tourists, not too much carving, full of calm and original beauty.
The floor-to-ceiling glass windows in the lobby, the tea room and the small fire to brew tea cups are staggered, the hall lights up the fireplace at night and invites friends to sit and chat, the unpretentious furniture is matched with local clay pot artwork, and the multiple screens at the door show a sense of geometric sequence, connecting the wabi-sabi wind courtyard, and the passage of time becomes slow.
