French company will build a four-season resort in Shimgan, Uzbekistan
According to the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan on the 2nd, within the framework of the implementation of the "Shymgan Tourism Area Construction" project in the Bostanrek District of Tashkent Region participated by the French Ministry of Finance, the public bidding for the design, construction, equipment supply and installation, and facility commissioning of the four seasons resort in Chimgan in Uzbekistan has been completed, and finally the French company Montagne et Neige Développement (MND) won the bid.
MND is a leading industrial group implementing mountain projects, headquartered in the Savoy department in southern France. Operating in 49 countries since 2004, the group is one of the world's leading companies in mountaineering, tourism and ropeway applications. The company has been involved in the implementation of more than 1,500 projects worldwide, including Courchevele, Chamonix-Mont Blanc, Roza Hutor, Bosque-Gurín, Narvik and others.
Through the implementation of this project, an international four-season mountain park will be created in Ukraine to provide residents and tourists with more outdoor recreational activities.
According to the project, a 10-person gondola (up to 2,000 people per hour) will be built, which will climb to an altitude of 2,515 meters, and then a tilting cable car with a capacity of 80 people (up to 800 people per hour) will transport visitors to an altitude of 3,309 meters - the highest point of such facilities available in the Central Asian country.
In addition, there will be more than 20 winter and summer entertainment facilities: XXL zip line, alpine coaster, adventure tower, Via ferrata, tubing, 11 ski runs of varying complexity with a total length of more than 20 kilometers.
The main objectives of this move are to develop the tourism infrastructure of the Tashkent region, promote and create conditions for mass sports in the mountainous areas of the country, create new jobs, and increase the new gravity of investment in the region through the construction of international four-season resorts, tourist resorts and new ropeways with various recreational facilities.
It is envisaged to build hotel complexes and villas by dividing the plots into different lots (with approved design codes) and selling them to interested investors on the electronic trading platform E-Ijro auksion in the near future.
