Eighteen Mile Changxia National Nature Reserve, located on the northern slope of the eastern section of Dabashan and the junction of Hubei and Chongqing. The total area is 25604.95 hectares. The reserve is rich in forest resources, is a tertiary plant "refuge" and endemic species evolution center, animal and flora have the characteristics of both north and south, east and west infiltration, containing a large number of rare animals and plants and endemic species, is the core area of biodiversity in central China.
