The United States approved the sale of F-16 airborne missiles to Taiwan for a total contract value of $619 million.
In terms of foreign arms and equipment sales, the United States has always been double-standard and hegemonic, for example, out of the need to restrict and pressure China, it always creates confrontation with Taiwan arms sales at critical moments. On March 1, the U.S. State Department approved a new round of arms sales to Taiwan, including 200 AIM-120C-8 advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles, 100 AGM-88B anti-radiation missiles, and other related supporting systems.
It should be noted here that the AIM-120C-8 is the AIM-120D with a range of up to 160 kilometers, and the Taiwanese military intends to use it against PLA cruise military aircraft. Although the F-16V performance is not the strongest, after all, it is an upgraded fourth-generation aircraft, and it is still very deterrent to match such a large range missile. In addition to verbal warnings and sanctions against manufacturers, the most effective way for the United States to act is to sell arms to equals, such as selling advanced weapons and equipment to Iran, Guxi, North Korea, etc.
