In the summer of 1958, after heavy rains, a raging flood overflowed in the Wujin Ancient Road and roared towards the Yellow River. Along the way, the flood carried a large number of broken wood and stones, like a crazy battering ram, and violently hit the area around the East River Beiliang. In an instant, the house collapsed, and a camel was swallowed up by the flood before it had time to cry.
This year the rain was much more special, and before people could recover from the shock, another flash flood swept through, leaving devastation.
In those years, it was the hot era of the water conservancy project when the sea of people and the sea of people fought, and the two floods aroused the revolutionary pride of "transforming nature and man conquering the sky". Soon, the blueprint of the reservoir was placed on the desk of the People's Commissariat, a pair of big hands slapped down powerfully, and the construction began immediately!
In 1961, the Liubao Yaozi Reservoir was built to store water. The clear stream upstream converges on the north side of the dam, forming a green and rippling lake, and there was also a scene of wild ducks and reeds flying.
Unfortunately, just three years later, the springs upstream dried up, leaving only yellow sand in the huge reservoir area. Since then, there is no longer water storage, and the reservoir is usually empty, and the flood season flood season is discharged as it comes, and only plays a role in peak shaving and flood control. In winter and spring, only cold winds blow through the flood cave, and basil passes through.
