Sichuan football stars record "black butterfly" MaMero

author:Grace Times

In the summer of 1995, Sichuan Quanxing, who was in the relegation circle, completed the relegation cause, and with the help of Brazilian Chinese, the unknown Mamero was introduced from the Rio State Secondary League, thus Mamelo began a legendary journey of nearly eight years in Chinese football.

In the eleven rounds of the second half of the 1995 A League, Mamelo scored only one header against Guangzhou Helios. Although Mamelo's goallessness is not high, as a midfield organizer, his skillful ball control skills and outstanding breakthrough ability are still quite ornamental. Since Mamero arrived in the middle of the season, he was not very accustomed to the rapid counter-attack style of the Quanxing team, making his role in the team also average. However, the team attached great importance to Mamero's technical talent, and chose to renew his contract with Mamero at the end of the 1995 season.

After the second half of the 1995 season and the hard work of the early winter training in 1996, Mamelo has made significant improvements in explosiveness, cooperation with teammates and confrontation. In the sixth round of the 1996 A-League, in the home match of Sichuan Quanxing against Shenzhen, Mamero received Zou Yougen's cross from the right and slammed the ball in the opposite direction with his heel. This stunning goal became the best goal in the A-League of the 1996 season, and Mamero became famous.

In the second round of the 1997 A-League, in the away match between Sichuan Quanxing and Shanghai Shenhua, Mamero accelerated all the way from the right side of the midfield, connected with six Shenhua players, and finally pushed the ball into the empty goal. Mamelo's flower-like foot technique has earned him the reputation of "black butterfly".

At the end of the 1997 season, Mamero left Sichuan to return to Brazil due to the poor operation of his agent. But Mamelo has never been able to find a suitable professional football club.

In the second half of the 1999 A League season, the Quanxing team, who failed to attract reinforcements at the beginning of the season, thought of Mamero, and the two sides hit it off, but Mamelo suffered a serious decline in form due to injury reasons and unsystematic training, and Chuanzu, who was striving for fresh blood, loaned Mamero to Guangzhou Helios in early 2000. But in the A and B arena, Mamelo was in no form, and after a few rounds, he was fired by the Guangzhou Sun God. The "homeless" Brazilian returned to Chengdu again, and eventually the Quanxing club saw that Mamero was the "meritorious old man" of Sichuan Football.

In 2003, limited by the number of foreign aides, Mamelo was sent to the reserve team by the Sichuan Guancheng team. Soon, Mamero had a serious conflict with the Champions City club on the issue of wages, and even had to sue the Champions City team to FIFA, and finally Mamero could only return home.

After leaving China in 2003, Mamero returned to Brazil, although he bid farewell to eleven, he still did not give up the feelings for football in his heart, so he made a comeback in the indoor futsal league, although he was already over thirty years old, Mamero was still in good shape in the futsal field, and did not really retire until he was forty-one years old. After retiring, Mamelo used the money earned from playing football in China to invest in several properties in his hometown capo frio and became a "charter company".

Mamelo dedicated the best years of his career to the Sichuan team, which is the best foreign aid in the history of Sichuan football.
