EA wondered if Dead Space fans would be interested in Dead Space 2 or a remake of Dead Space 3.
As noted by the staff at ResetEra, EA is currently polling selected players to determine how interested they are in Motive's "similar remake" of the original Dead Space.
Surprising? Considering the success of the first remake, it is not necessarily true. But as some ResetEra reviewers have put it, Dead Space 3 may need "some changes" if it wants to live up to the praise Dead Space: Remastered.
"DS2 is a must, but frankly, the 3 excites me more. The story background and legends are top-notch, and the writers of Dead Space can easily modify the shoddy characterization and plot design. ”
Others, however, prefer "brand new games".
Motive, the developer of Dead Space: Remake, recently revealed how their team began filling "huge boots" to "honor the beloved original game while making technical improvements for the modern audience."
In the company's sixth development blog, senior producer Philippe Ducharme, artistic director Mike Yazijian and creative director Roman camposo - oriola reflect on the early days of the project "and its iconic inspiration" and reveal how the Dead Space rework "came about."
"Instead of saving the past, it represents a series whose tendrils travel through time to become their own ancestors. The results may be appealing, but make sure you play the 2008 game first," Edwin wrote in the game's Dead Space: Remastered review.
