It is said that during the Anti-Japanese War, the troops of the Kuomintang Wu Huawen were stationed here, Little Japan swept into the mountains, and the Eighth Route Army also lived, and established an anti-Japanese base here, and the remains of this wall can still be seen everywhere.
This mountain top used to be also a village called Dazhai Village, Dazhai Village is located in the south of Mayu Village, 768 meters above sea level, in the past to escape the war, villagers lived on the mountain, and then gradually formed a village, almost all around him are cliffs and canyons, can not build roads uphill, so the mountain road is almost all along the valley up, the original sheep intestine path, very difficult.
After the liberation of Dazhai Village, it was a small mountain village with only more than 20 families, scattered on the top of the mountain within a radius of five miles. In 1987, the Boshan District government decided to relocate Dazhai Village, and some of them settled in Boshan National Village, and Dazhai Village has since become an uninhabited village.
We went up the mountain to find another person living here, who became the guardian of the small mountain village, and after talking we learned that the old man's surname was Zhao, 61 years old this year. More than 10 years ago, Lao Zhao returned to his hometown after retirement and contracted the mountain forest of Dazhai Village with his two brothers. Since then, Lao Zhao has moved to the mountains alone and lived an almost isolated pastoral life, and standing at the door of the house is the mountain guardian Old Zhao.
He raised chickens and sheep, grew vegetables and grain, and lived comfortably in the mountains, with fruit and locust trees in front of and behind his house, and every year at the turn of spring and summer, it almost turned into a sea of flowers and fragrance. He said that every year when the apricot blossoms bloom here, the apricot blossoms in the mountains are particularly beautiful, the sweet apricots on the mountains are picked casually, and the apricots that fall down are fed to the sheep when they are ripe.
Lao Zhao told us that the round hole in this stone is the stone mortar used to process grain, and we saw a stone mortar on each of the two huge rocks next to the northwest path of the village, which is a tool for processing grain, which is a relic of the early days of the village, which shows the hardship of the villagers here in those years.
Old Zhao said that in order to carry the necessities from the bottom of the mountain to the mountain, he and his brothers built a simple ropeway, and the power unit of this ropeway was derived from a tractor. Later, when the tractor broke, he removed the diesel engine and changed it into a power plant for the ropeway. In this way, Lao Zhao can first tie large items to the ropeway at the bottom of the mountain, and then climb up the mountain to operate the ropeway to transport daily necessities up the mountain.
To the south of Dazhai Village is the Sanshan Sword Grand Canyon, named for the three mountains that are tall and handsome and resemble the tip of a sword. Below the mountain is the Grand Canyon, known as the ditch, which forms streams in summer and autumn, and the shrubs on both sides of the ditch are lush and beautiful, which is an excellent place to enjoy autumn leaves in autumn.
