1. Dress openly
Throughout the feudal era, the restraints on women were very strict. In the Tang Dynasty, because there was also a female empress, the atmosphere of the whole society was very tolerant of women.
Therefore, this is first reflected in the way women dress.
Before the Tang Dynasty, and even after the Tang Dynasty, women's clothing was very conservative, and their skin was basically not exposed to the outside of their clothes. And the Tang Dynasty is different, when women choose clothes, they will expose the entire neck, then a bandeau long skirt, and then wear a thin layer of light gauze outside, summed up in three words: thin, transparent, exposed.
In the Tang Dynasty, it was beautiful with abundance, especially women who liked snow-white skin, wearing the unique gauze of the Tang Dynasty, Gu Pansheng, swaying and amorous. So much so that a poet at that time read it, and also gave a poem to express this scene: "The pink chest half-conceals the clear snow, and the drunken eyes oblique back to the small sample knife." Of course, even from the current point of view, this poem is still a little Meng Lang, and it is somewhat suspicious of being a disciple.
Moreover, at that time, it was still very popular for women to pretend to be men, and the famous Princess Taiping was one of the super lovers, but Li Zhi seemed to not only not blame, but admired the costume of this Princess Taiping.
Second, the concept of ethics is open
China has been a country of etiquette since ancient times, and it attaches great importance to culture and etiquette, even in modern society, the view of ethics is still very important.
In the Tang Dynasty, ethics became very open, because the entire royal family was very open, which attracted the people to follow suit. What everyone should know is that Wu Zetian turned out to be Li Shimin's talent, only one level higher than promised, and he was still ranked after the concubine, and the name of Wucai was also derived from this. However, Li Shimin's son Li Zhi fell in love with Wu Zetian while Li Shimin was ill in bed. After Li Shimin died of illness, according to the practice in the palace, Wu Zetian became a nunnery. But after Li Zhi ascended the throne, he took Wu Zetian out of the nunnery and made him empress, to put it bluntly, Wu Zetian, at least in terms of generation, is Li Zhi's stepmother.
The other is the story of Tang Minghuang Li Longji and Yang Guifei. Yang Guifei turned out to be the princess of Li Longji's son King Shou, but at a chance banquet, Li Longji liked Yang Guifei after seeing her, snatched her over, and accepted her as a noble concubine, that is, the father-in-law robbed his daughter-in-law, and then the daughter-in-law became a daughter-in-law.
Since the royal family is like this, the folk atmosphere is naturally very open, and the ethical aspects are open enough.
3. Policy opening
Different from the closed country of later generations, the Tang Dynasty was a very open and inclusive dynasty, all countries came to the dynasty, attached great importance to overseas trade, and even set up a special foreign trade agency in Guangzhou - the City Department to manage foreign trade; Enact laws to protect the legitimate rights and interests of foreign businessmen at the legal level; Even, as long as you have talent, even if you are a foreigner, you can serve as an official in the imperial court. The entire Great Tang Dynasty displayed a very powerful and confident dynasty image.
Later, Wu Zetian ascended the throne, and even a female minister like Shangguan Wan'er appeared, who was also unprecedented and unexpected. From the vertical dimension of feudal society, the social status of women in the entire Tang Dynasty was also the highest.
Inclusiveness, cultural self-confidence, and open communication were a very big contributing factor to the strength of the Tang Dynasty, and later dynasties, officially lacking such an appearance, even began to close off the country, and the entire ancient empire began to decline.
