A couple in Warwickshire, England, cleaned the attic of their home over Christmas holidays last year when they found a folder containing memorabilia of the British royal family, including a letter from King Charles III, a childhood letter to her grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, about fearing her grandmother's illness and wishing her a speedy recovery, and drawing graffiti to show her love for her grandmother.

The couple, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the 49-year-old said the folder belonged to Grandpa Roland Stockdale, who said he was part of the late Queen Elizabeth II Guard in the 1950s, but did not know how his grandfather obtained the items.

The couple were surprised to open the folder, which contained many significant items, including invitations to the royal ball, signed note paper signed by Queen Elizabeth, a Christmas speech by Queen Elizabeth II in 1956, and a letter from Charles III to Queen Elizabeth on March 15, 1955.

The letter, written by Charles III, who was only 6 years old at the time, wrote, "Dear grandma, I am sorry that you are sick. I hope you'll get better soon", and colorful graffiti, signed and even written "A lot of love from Charles", you can see that you love your grandmother very much.

The items will be auctioned at Hansons Auctioneers on March 7, and owner Charles Hanson said they were significant enough to receive gifts from the royal family, who apparently held them in high esteem at the time. Charles III's letters are estimated to sell for £2,000 to £3,000, while other items are valued at between £50 and £200.
