Namib Desert Park, Namibia's largest national park, is a world-class landscape with an area of 54,000 square kilometers, including several attractions such as the Sussley Desert, the Sislimu Grand Canyon, and Death Valley. The Namib Desert has a history of more than 100 million years and is considered the oldest desert in the world.
The Red Desert is an open spot in the middle of the Namib Desert, home to the world's tallest red sand dunes at 320 meters high.
On July 7, 2016, we arrived at The 45th Dune of the Sussli Desert, and as the car drove into the heart of the desert, the red sand dunes in the distance kept coming into view, and I couldn't wait to pull out my camera and start shooting in the car.
Because the desert and sand dunes are rarely red, the shape of each dune is different, and the sand piled up into the sand mountain contains colorful mineral elements such as iron, and the sand dunes glow a shocking red color under the sunlight.
Dune No. 45, the side illuminated by the sun is as red as blood, the side carrying the sun is as deep as night, and the beautiful curves, beautiful light and shadow and exaggerated colors of the dunes are amazing.
On July 8th, we visited the Death Basin, another attraction in the Namib Desert, which is listed in the World Natural Heritage List and is known as the essence of the Namib Desert.
The basin floor is grayish-white, covered with remnants of dry riverbed mud; camel dead trees stand tall, and centuries of wind and sun have sunburned and thunderstormed them to make them even more desolate and magnificent; the basin is surrounded by cascading red sand dunes.
Blue sky and white red sand dunes and standing dead trees, this beautiful color and unique picture is unforgettable.
When the sand dunes carry the sun, the red turns purple, the camel dead tree seems to be set with a layer of gold leaf, and the death basin at this time is more colorful, it seems to be a little more mysterious, and it seems to have a little more mood, which makes people fascinated.
How I wish the clock had been turned upside down, so that I could stay a little longer and savor the ever-changing beauty.
Namib Red Desert attracts tourists from all over the world, although the desert journey is tiring, but tourists are like clouds, in the vast desert, tourists are like a grain of sand, in front of nature, human beings are so small.
