According to the Hollywood Reporter and Variety Network, the private plane of Hollywood film score master James Horner crashed on Monday local time, 60 miles north of Santa Barbara. Horner, a pilot, was killed in the accident at the age of 61.
Horner's assistant, Sylvia Patricia, confirmed his death.
