West Ham fans are suspected of chanting gay discrimination slogans or being investigated by the FA

Anti-discrimination group Kick It Out issued a statement today saying that away fans were suspected of discriminating against homosexuals during West Ham United's away game against Chelsea.

The statement read: "We have received a lot of reports of homophobia songs aimed at Chelsea fans in the match against West Ham United. ”

"We have informed the FA and reiterated our message that the slogan 'Rent Boys' is discrimination against homosexuals, there is no doubt about it."

Chelsea will issue a statement about the incident today.

A Chelsea fan was fined £965 and banned from the stadium for 3 years after the Blues' victory over Brighton last December after admitting to his homosexual abuse.

Nottingham Forest fans are said to have pointed the same slogan at Chelsea fans in the FA Cup earlier this year.

A portion of the 3,000 away fans could be heard chanting "Chelsea Rent Boys" during and after Nottingham's 2-0 loss to Chelsea. Nottingham Forest was facing an FA investigation at the time but appeared to be unpunished.

A Kick It Out spokesman said at the time: "We have received reports of nottingham Forest fans discriminating against homosexuality in today's FA Cup match against Chelsea. We have submitted this information to the FA and will provide support in any possible investigations. ”
