On October 22, the brigade organized the staff of the Traffic Facilities Office to install 20 signs prohibiting the honking of horns at 10 intersections such as Zhenxing Street and Jianshe Street that entered the main urban area, and strictly prohibited vehicles entering the main urban area from honking their horns to effectively reduce urban traffic noise pollution. At the same time, the police force was organized to carry out centralized rectification of illegal ringing of motor vehicles, the surrounding roads such as urban trunk roads, hospitals, schools, government organs, and residential quarters were listed as key rectification sections, taxis, buses, motorcycles, and self-driving cars were listed as key rectification vehicles, and through increasing the deployment of police forces in sections with high incidence of illegal ringing, with the combination of fixed-point card setting and dynamic patrols, focusing on correcting malicious honking behaviors such as long-term and continuous honking of motor vehicles, and also giving citizens a quiet and smooth urban road traffic environment.
Public security traffic police tips: According to item 8 of article 62 of the "Regulations on the Implementation of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China", drivers must not honk their horns in areas or sections of the road where horns are prohibited. Those who violate the provisions shall be fined 50 yuan in accordance with article 90 of the Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China.
