WeChat public platform on account information counterfeiting and imitation of official organizations
In order to further strengthen the standardized management of account information, provide users with a green and healthy online ecological environment, and resolutely combat the conduct of counterfeit media, party, government, and military organs, people's organizations, and social organizations, the following account information supervision rules are formulated in accordance with the Provisions on the Administration of Internet User Public Account Information Services and the Provisions on the Administration of Internet News Information Services.
1. It is prohibited that account information contains content that impersonates political parties, party, government, and military organs, enterprises and public institutions, people's organizations, and social organizations
In the process of setting the name of the official account account, if the name, introduction and avatar contain keywords and logos of national government functional organizations such as political parties, party, government, and military organs, enterprises and institutions, only the corresponding entity is allowed to be set, otherwise the name of this type shall not be used.
Examples of violations
2. It is prohibited that account information contains content that imitates news media, social groups, and other organizations
Phishing includes, but is not limited to, the following examples of violations:
1) Examples of obfuscated news media violations
2) Confusing examples of local group organization violations
This announcement is officially effective on January 16, 2023. After the announcement takes effect, the platform will, in accordance with the operation specifications, take corresponding measures such as deleting account information and other measures according to the degree of violation for the illegal accounts involved in the above counterfeiting behavior.
Operators are requested to carry out relevant self-inspection and adjustment work in a timely manner, abide by the operation specifications of the platform, provide high-quality services and content, and jointly create a green and healthy content ecology.
