And because of the fear of being hit by the Ukrainian army again, it directly moved the fleet base from Sevastopol to Novorossiysk, but recently, the Ukrainian army still launched a blow to the Black Sea Fleet. According to Russian media reports, the Ukrainian army sent 10 drones to raid Crimea, but it ended in failure.
The Russian side said that these drones were shot down by the local air defense forces and the Black Sea Fleet, there was no damage to any facilities in Crimea, and the Black Sea Fleet also suffered zero casualties. Although the main forces of the fleet have all been removed, they still retain part of their combat effectiveness, and the recent pouring out of the fleet from the Novorossiysk base has made the Ukrainian army aware of a sense of crisis, so its drone attack this time is still coming at the Black Sea Fleet. It obviously knew that the Sevastopol base had no valuable targets, but chose to launch an attack in order to verify whether the Black Sea Fleet had returned to Crimea. For the recent actions of the fleet, some outside world speculate that the Russian army intends to carry out an amphibious landing, and some believe that the Russian army will launch a missile attack on Ukraine from the sea, either of which makes the Ukrainian side worried. In the past, it could rely on American satellites to track the movements of the Black Sea Fleet, but now that the Russian army has used the Murmansk-BN electronic warfare system with a jamming radius of 5,000 kilometers on the front line, the US and NATO reconnaissance systems are no longer good.
Therefore, it is necessary for the Ukrainian army to verify the intentions of the Black Sea Fleet by launching a surprise attack, and judging by the results, the level of defense of the Sevastopol base has been significantly strengthened. Ukrainian drones can no longer easily break through the Russian air defense network as in the past, and judging from its move to shoot down all 10 drones even if it uses expensive air defense missiles, the Black Sea Fleet is probably really going to make a big move. Whether it is an amphibious landing or missile bombing, the fleet forces of the old base will certainly take synchronous action to strengthen the defense or prepare to take over the main force.
Coupled with the fact that after Gerasimov came to power, he strengthened the movement between the various branches of the Russian army, and the Black Sea Fleet will definitely join the battle next, so the surprise attack of the Ukrainian army is not for nothing.
