Chinese New Year's Eve shopping in the flower street... Auckland Chinese New Year Flower Market Fun Day is back

In 2023, Yarun New Year Flower Market Tongle Japan returned to Auckland Showgrounds again on Saturday 21st.

As a traditional Auckland Chinese New Year celebration, the Chinese New Year Flower Market has a history of more than 30 years. In 2022, due to the impact of the epidemic, the fun day event was finally cancelled, which was the only year in which the event was absent.

This year, there are more than 200 indoor and outdoor stalls on Tongle Day, a variety of delicacies, New Year goods, fresh fruits and vegetables are available, outdoor children's playground provides entertainment for children, and a large number of parking spaces (paid) are available, which is a good activity for the whole family to travel for the whole family.

Tong Lok Day features a variety of cultural performances from various Chinese communities, including modern dance, ethnic dance, Chinese and Western instrument playing, children's dance and singing, from 10 am to 4 pm.

Chinese New Year Day is the largest event organized by Chinese in Auckland, with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, Opposition Leader Christopher Luxon, Chinese Ambassador to New Zealand Dr Wang Xiaolong, a number of government ministers and parliamentarians and more than 100 invited guests attending the opening ceremony and celebrations.

The flow of the activity is shown in the attached diagram:
