The 2023 festive season is approaching, and as a traditional custom, fireworks have always been loved by everyone. However, while setting off fireworks adds to the festive atmosphere, the negative impact cannot be ignored. Every year, fires caused by the setting off of fireworks account for a large proportion, causing heavy direct or indirect property losses. The office of Minhou County Fire Safety Committee reminds you that to celebrate the festive season, do not forget fire safety, you should pay attention to the following points:
1. Do not set off fireworks in prohibited areas and places designated by the county government, and when setting off fireworks, you should choose a flat and barrier-free place outdoors, and discharge them correctly in accordance with the instructions, do not set off indoors, windows, corridors, corridors, balconies and other places with narrow spaces, and do not release lit fireworks from high places such as roofs, balconies, windows, etc. to the outside (pedestrians, vehicles) to prevent Mars from falling or splashing on combustibles and causing fire.
2. It is strictly forbidden to discharge in prosperous streets, public places, buildings, substations, mountains and forests, under high-voltage lines, and near flammable and explosive materials and other places that do not have safety conditions. When encountering windy weather, do not set off fireworks, otherwise it is very easy to cause fire.
3. When lighting ceremonial fireworks and combination fireworks, the fireworks should be placed flat on the ground, and the fireworks should not be set off upside down to prevent accidents during the firing process. After the fireworks, it should be carefully inspected, and if smoldering sparks are found on the fireworks and fireworks fragments, effective measures such as stepping on them with their feet and extinguishing them with sand should be taken immediately to ensure that they are extinguished.
4. To strengthen the education of minors on safe fireworks and fireworks, for the sake of safety, minors must be accompanied by an adult when setting off fireworks, so as to prevent them from throwing lit firecrackers randomly during the fireworks, causing the firecrackers to fly and jump into the combustible materials and cause fire.
5. During the Spring Festival, residents do a good job of "three clearances and three passes" (clear walkways, clear balconies, clean kitchens; Turn off the fire source, turn off the power supply, turn off the gas source), and clean up the combustible debris on the balcony and window in time.
