The cold of La Yue has not left,
Bad news in the morning tears.
Wind and rain are still in sight, (|)
The cloudy nine springs are neighbors. (2)
Young people often cherish prosperous scenes,
Jiazi first knew that it was plain and true.

Exegesis:
(1) In 1981, Shi Ruihua and I were admitted to Changde Teachers College (now Hunan University of Arts and Sciences) at the same time. In 1984, we were assigned to Changde County No. 3 Middle School to teach together and worked together for several years.
(2) The nine springs, metaphorically deep underground, also refer to the netherworld.
