Gadamerin was born in 1892 and died On April 5, 1931. He was a native of the Inner Mongolian Zhelim League's Darhan Banner (now the Left Wing Banner of Horqin, Tongliao City), and he was the youngest of his brothers in the family, known in Mongolian as "Gada". In 1908, he served as a soldier in the Flag Guard of Darhan, during which time he successively served as Zhang Jing and Zalan. In 1925 he was promoted to Merlin, the commander-in-chief of Prince Dalhan of Zasak, in charge of the 130 Cavalry Guards of the Banner, known as "Gadamerin".
At that time, in order to consolidate the border defense and prevent the Russian invasion, the Qing government and the Beiyang warlords implemented the policy of great rejuvenation and reclamation. Zhang Zuolin and Prince Dahlhan agreed to convert large tracts of grassland into agricultural land, and by 1928 three-quarters of the grassland had been reclaimed, displacing large numbers of herders and permanently leaving the grasslands on which they depended.
Gadamerin repeatedly went to the Reclamation Bureau to oppose reclamation and refused the princess's wish to return the land rented by the Flag Guards to the royal palace, and was eventually removed from his post. In 1929, after the change of the northeast banner, Zhang Xueliang continued to carry out the policy of reclamation, and Gada Merlin and others launched the "Duguilong Movement", that is, the petitioners signed their names in a circle on paper to hide the initiators, and sent representatives to petition the prince of Darhan who settled in Fengtian. However, their prince had already become a relative of Zhang Zuolin, not only buying and selling a large amount of land to actively promote reclamation, but also showing no concern for the lives of grassland herders, but also contracting the vice of opium smoking. As the saying goes, "the arm can't twist the thigh", Zhang Xueliang sent three regiments of troops to encircle and suppress, and at the Honggel Ao Baotun Ferry near the Xinkai River (present-day Wuli Jimuren River) in Tongliao, he surrounded and annihilated all the anti-reclamation troops. Li Shouxin, who was the regimental commander at the time, brutally killed Gadamerin and cut off his head. Tang Yulin handed his head to Prince Dalkhan and hung it in the flag for public display. However, the Beiyang warlords did not become the final winners, and five months later, the Anti-Japanese War broke out, and Zhang Xueliang's policy of great rejuvenation and reclamation was forced to stop.
Two days before Gadamerin was killed, his wife faced a miscarriage and left early to look for a doctor. On the way, she met Sanjay Hulqi, a folk artist who could speak and sing, and she asked the old man to write a song for Gadamerin to praise his selfless and fearless spirit, and the old man listened to the song for Gadamerin, and was so excited that he made up a song for Gadamerin overnight, melodious and beautiful, and sang all over the grassland with the news of Gadamerin's murder.
