Moreover, on his birthday, Qianlong would also give all the treasures of this world to his mother, and treasures such as Qinqi calligraphy and painting, antiques, and some exotic foreign gadgets were given by Qianlong to the Empress Dowager Chongqing.
Therefore, it is not surprising that such a filial Qianlong made the reading of the typical case of the emperor the first thing of the day, and after the reading, Qianlong would begin to prepare for the morning dynasty at 6 o'clock.
Going to work at 6 o'clock is simply a kind of torture in the eyes of our modern people, but in ancient times this was the point where ministers had to go to work, and if they were late or absent from work, they could not deduct some money like us, and if they were not careful, these ministers would lose their heads.
And some ministers are better if they live closer to the palace, because they can reduce their commuting time and sleep more, but some officials may be poorer, and Kenben cannot afford a good house under the imperial city, and can only live on the remote outskirts of the city.
But at that time, there was no subway, light rail or other means of transportation, only horse-drawn carriages, but if the poor officials, they might not even have a horse-drawn carriage, so they could only come on their legs, which required them to get up in the middle of the night and go to the palace.
Therefore, it was not easy to be an emperor in ancient times, and it was even more pitiful to be a minister without money and incorruptibility.

Then at noon, after a short break, he began to receive some important ministers, and usually after two o'clock in the afternoon, Qianlong did not arrange government affairs for himself and began to focus on his favorite things.
Qianlong: Don't take away the delicious, I want to taste it again
Qianlong prefers to collect classical calligraphy and paintings, and also likes to make poetry, so when he can master the time, he will hide in the room to admire calligraphy and painting or make poetry, which is very literati.
But Qianlong also had a more important thing in the afternoon, that is, to eat dinner, in ancient times it was not like eating three meals a day as it is now, when each family ate two meals, only breakfast and dinner.

As an authentic Manchu, Qianlong still follows the ancestral preference for eating, and prefers to eat some flying in the sky and running on the ground, so every meal of chicken, duck, sheep, cow and other meat is essential.
According to historical records, Qianlong's recipes once included 47 kinds of staple foods, 47 kinds of hot pots, 59 kinds of hot dishes, 26 kinds of cold spells, and 7 kinds of soups, including bird's nest and other foods that many people said they could not afford to eat.
In this way, Qianlong would eat at least a dozen dishes for a meal, which would be enough to survive if he ate them all, so in line with the principle of not wasting, the remaining meals would sometimes be rewarded by the emperor to his favorite ministers.
If the emperor did not speak, the housekeeper in charge of the meal would handle it internally, after all, this is the emperor's leftovers, and everyone loves the food with a breath of heaven.

It may be that in the TV series, the emperor always sleeps at the concubines' dormitories overnight, but in the history of the Qing Dynasty, the emperor did not go to the palace of the concubines, but the concubines washed and came to the emperor's resting place.
And the TV series also said that after the emperor finished his concubine, he would sleep next to his wife until dawn like an ordinary couple.
However, in history, concubines were not allowed to live in the emperor's dormitory, so as soon as they were pampered, the concubines would come from where to go back there, and don't delay the emperor's sleep.

This will not happen, because Qianlong is very self-disciplined, and even the time of pampering is very fixed, usually between 7 and 8 o'clock at night, because the emperor will go to bed at 8 or 9 o'clock.
This is the real master of time management, but the time management of pampering is so strict, there may be many people who say that Qianlong may not like his concubine, because when he meets someone he likes, how can an hour be rare enough?
Qianlong can be regarded as a very indiscriminate emperor in the TV series "Huan Zhu Gege", not only spoiling Xia Yuhe on the shore of Daming Lake, but also even Xiangfei who has a sweetheart.
