It's a "war of poison," a war of disease. In the face of the epidemic, the whole people have united in the fight against the epidemic.

It's a real war of poison
All the movies were withdrawn, the movie theaters were closed, and the movies were stopped. But for filmmakers, the suspension of projects does not mean that the work is completely stopped.
Some media have planned a special topic to interview more than a dozen directors about the status of this time. Their answers were strikingly similar: write a script.
It may be foreseeable that there will be a significant reduction in the number of films completed this year, but at the same time, some people predict that this year is likely to be a year of script explosion.
The first director interviewed the working status of several directors
I pay more attention to the content of these scripts than to the years when the scripts exploded. Will there be a story in these scripts that will record our war against the epidemic? Or the story of how people regained hope and moved forward in adversity in the post-epidemic period.
In fact, many people are already worried about the post-epidemic trauma. It's not just whether those who heal have sequelae, but also how the public faces "post-disaster reconstruction", which has economic material, but more of a spiritual reconstruction.
Wuhan, in particular, how can we regain the spirit of the largest city in central and southern China? As the most popular medium, if the film can gather the strength of a large number of filmmakers to make a film that inspires inspiration, is optimistic about the future, and moves forward in adversity, it may be able to bring strength to all ordinary people.
Here I am reminded of a movie from 17 years ago, 1:99 Film Action.
This is a work of a special period. After the SARS epidemic in Hong Kong in 2003, Hong Kong people lived under a haze.
In view of this, the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmakers launched the "Film Action", inviting 15 well-known Hong Kong directors to shoot 11 inspirational short films to cheer up Hong Kong people and encourage Hong Kong people to face life optimistically and strengthen themselves in adversity.
Action 1:99 has never been released in theaters. It premiered on TvB Emerald on August 4, 2003.
The 11 short films are:
<h1 class= "pgc-h-arrow-right" > Rhapsody</h1>
Directors: Du Qifeng, Wei Jiahui
Actors: Andy Lau, Liu Qingyun, Zheng Xiuwen, Lin Xue, Du Wenze
This short film uses Andy Lau, Liu Qingyun and Zheng Xiuwen as MVs through the interception of several grassroots classic songs by Xu Guanjie in the 1970s and 1980s, in which they recreate the bridges and characters of several classic comedies of The Late 70s.
Liu Qingyun recreates Xu Guanwen's funny and unlucky boss, Andy Lau recreates the fashionable youth Xu Guanjie, and Zheng Xiuwen's appearance pays tribute to Xiao Fangfang's Lin Yazhen.
This short film brings out the unique optimism, enthusiasm, hard-working and undead characteristics of Hong Kong citizens, and encourages Hong Kong citizens to continue to play this trait.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" > "Piggy Uncomfortable"</h1>
Director: Chen Guo
Cast: Shine, Lee Chan Sen, Wu Jialong
This is a short film shot from the perspective of a piggy.
Someone said, "We've defeated the plague and sent away masks." "Is it true? I don't quite believe it. Because the piglets on my farm are suddenly uncomfortable, shouldn't the second disaster come again? It turned out that the piglet was just making a fuss, and it just used a little unhappy expression to hope that we would take it to the world outside the pig shed to have a look...
17 years on, in fact, we have not sent away the plague, bird flu, swine flu, new crown pneumonia, we are still facing an uncertain future.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" > "Look Good"</h1>
Director: Chen Desen
Actor: Xue Lixian
The film brings out the smiles of the city everywhere
After the epidemic, people in this city are still busy with their brows locked, because they are busy, so they can't see happy smiling faces, in fact, many smiling faces will be gently wiped from time to time, as long as they observe carefully, the original happiness has long been everywhere.
This short film uses the perspective of a young boy to find the smiling faces around him and encourage everyone to face life optimistically.
<h1 class= "pgc-h-arrow-right" > "Believe It or Not</h1>."
Director: Xu Ke (Original: Wang Ze)
The three of them lived together on the island, fighting and fighting, until the shark tide besieged, the three of them could finally join hands with Miss Chen and tide to overcome the tribulation.
Lao Fuzi is the comic memory of generations of Hong Kong people. Xu Ke used a cartoon of Lao Fuzi to make an animated short film, Lao Fuzi, Big Sweet Potato, Mr. Qin are ordinary Hong Kong people, the island where they live is Hong Kong, they face the siege of sharks, and associate shark sharks with SARS pronunciation, expressing the spirit of Hong Kong people's unity against SARS.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" > "Hong Kong Must Win"</h1>

The story takes place when the patient's mother is in the isolation ward, through the online contact with the family communication process of the interesting story, expressing that the patient can still face life optimistically during the illness, with the determination to win against the disease, and the family in addition to caring for the mother, but also can clean up the mood, into daily work and life.
This is a short film full of Chow Sing Chi nonsense elements, although the first time I saw it, I expected that the ending would be reversed, but still amused by the nonsense reversal at the end, Chow Xing Chi with the most life-like situation of Hong Kong people, mahjong table to encourage everyone to face optimistically, Hong Kong will win.
<h1 class= "pgc-h-arrow-right" > "Who is Miss Hong Kong?" 》</h1>

Inside the TV studio, there stood twelve nervous belles... The male and female emcees hold envelopes to announce who is the winner of Miss Hong Kong... The envelope opens, Miss Hong Kong goes to...
The name of the winner of Miss Hong Kong is Hong Kong, which is Ma Weihao's most straightforward expression of Hong Kong, and She needs to be cherished and loved by everyone.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" > My Flying Family</h1>
Director: Zhang Wanting, Luo Qirui
Actors: Huang Qiusheng, Wang Shuxi, Zhang Tongzu
In the low pressure of SARS, how did our next generation survive? What example and inspiration do we give them? How much have they grown since the events have passed? In which direction do you move again? Who will our next generation, the rose in our hearts, give to?
Like "Look good", it starts from the perspective of a child, but the husband and wife director Zhang Wanting and Luo Qirui made this short film more childlike. Use children's monologues to tell how generations of fathers and generations have taken root in Hong Kong, and the spirit embodied in them has influenced the next generation.
<h1 class= "pgc-h-arrow-right" > "Waiting for Arrival"</h1>
Directors: Lin Chaoxian, Chen Jiashang
Actors: Aaron Kwok, Huang Zihua, Leung Wing Ki, Ho Chao Yi
This short film spoofs the Matrix situation. When encountering natural disasters, some people always look to the sky and fight. I hope that someone around me can solve it for them, and I only know how to complain. This short film is used by a group of actors to laugh and scold, reminding the public to solve difficulties with actions. Otherwise, if you stand idly by, things won't improve.
<h1 class= "pgc-h-arrow-right" > McDougall 1:99</h1>
Director: Xie Liwen
Cast: Lin Haifeng, the pancakes, Chan Ho Fung, Hong Kong Children's Chorus World
The little prince played by McDougall in the asteroid sneezes with his ducks and snakes. The lonely little prince longed for the most beautiful flower.
Finally a seed from the alien gave hope to the prince. The little prince cultivated carefully, and finally on a crescent night, the asteroid grew the most beautiful and unique rose. Everyone was amazed that the first rose spat out...
McDougal has always represented a certain optimistic Hong Kong spirit, and this McDougall short film has less adult sadness and more innocence and kindness.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" > Spring 2003... Memories"</h1>
Director: Chen Kexin
Cast: Liang Chaowei, Yuan Liqi, Du Kefeng, Zhang Jianting, Wu Junru, Huang Guanzhong, Zhang Tongzu
Chen Kexin's short film is the most stylized, without a word of dialogue. Liang Chaowei appears in the form of Chen Yongren in Infernal Affairs. In the spring of 2003, the storm over Victoria Harbour changed color and the city became even colder; he felt more chilly. However, as long as we face it positively and work together in unity, we will certainly be able to reverse the adversity.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" > "Splendid Future"</h1>
Directors: Liu Weiqiang, Mak Siu-fai
Cast: Yu Wenle, Chen Guanxi, Wu Zhenyu, Liu Jialing, Zeng Zhiwei, Huang Qiusheng
Many years ago, Hong Kong slowly developed from a small fishing port to a current cosmopolitan city, during which many natural and man-made disasters occurred: including the plague in the early years, cholera, drought, floods, the fall of Hong Kong in 1941, typhoons in Hong Kong, financial storms in 1997, etc.; these physically and mentally exhausted days, Hong Kong people can stick to the message of the day of birth and successfully survive.
Through pictures and clips, the two directors of "Infernal Affairs" introduced the major events that have occurred in Hong Kong over the years, joined the footage of visiting the hearts of the citizens, and the main actors of "Infernal Affairs" encouraged everyone to move forward in adversity.
The 11 short films are combined into a 70-minute short film set, and the themes of the 11 short films are inseparable from the keywords of optimism, unity, cherishing, loving and positive, which have always been the spirit of the city.
Whether the short film is good or not is not the point. In fact, you can see that some of the short films are produced in a hurry, some are making the movies at hand and then taking time to shoot, and even the actors' looks are working photos.
Chen Guanxi's scene in the short film comes from the set of "Infernal Affairs 2"
For example, Liu Weiqiang and Mak Zhaohui's "Bright Future" was produced during the filming of "Infernal Affairs 2", and also used a relatively light way, historical photos and news clips with actors speaking to the camera to complete, and the actors are still in the shape of "Infernal Affairs 2".
Wei Jiahui's 2004 Lunar New Year comedy "Ghost Horse Rhapsody"
Looking back at these short films, some can also be seen as the pilot trailers of these directors' works in 2004, such as "Rhapsody" can be seen as the pilot trailer for Director Wei Jiahui's 2004 New Year film "Ghost Horse Rhapsody"; the design of the little prince of "McDougal 1:99" is very similar to the "Prince of McDougal Pineapple Oil" launched in 2004.
Xie Liwen's second McDougrow animated film "The Prince of McDougall Pineapple Oil"
The personal favorite of the 11 short films is Zhang Wanting and Luo Qirui's "My Flying Family". In addition to innocence, this short film also loses its feelings, which is a combination of the themes of the two short films "To Look Good" and "Splendid Future", and also has the characteristics of Zhang Wanting and Luo Qirui's works, which are nostalgic and affirmed by the struggles of the previous generation.
In the children's short few minutes of narration, the historical fragments constitute the struggle and experience of two generations of Hong Kong people, the first generation is the "passers-by" who fled for refugees, and the second generation of baby boomers build Hong Kong, truly taking Hong Kong as their home, and expressing a spiritual inheritance of hard work and optimism through four generations of Hong Kong people.
As for that innocence, a few years later, Luo Qirui made "The Thief of Years" can also be understood as the continuation of "My Flying Family".
The innocence and affection of "Thief of Time"
A year after its premiere, Action 1:99 released an extended DVD, adding a production special and interviews from more than 10 directors and actors in addition to the extended version of the 11 short films.
Lin Chaoxian, who had not yet shaved his head at that time
These precious fragments are another kind of record of the SARS epidemic.
