The drum tower is a triangle in its entire body, and the cornices of each floor are lightly upturned, maintaining a graceful curve. The rugged appearance is in stark contrast to the elaborate carvings.
This can't help but make people sigh that two very different temperaments are so harmoniously integrated in the same building. Entering the inside of the drum tower, you can see 60 landing pillars, and you can't help but marvel at this ingenious craftsmanship again.
Looking up, the pillars brushed straight to the highest place, and the white light from the eaves made each layer seem to be woven with a cobweb with the same pattern.
Coming out of the Sanjiang Drum Tower, walking across the Sanjiang Bridge, passing through Moon Street and Dongxiang Avenue, two pedestrian streets with national characteristics, it will not be long before you can see the world's largest single wooden structure "Dongxiang Bird's Nest".
Dongxiang Bird's Nest Stadium is circular, 29 meters high, 88 meters in diameter, covering an area of more than 5,000 square meters, some people say that it is like a Hakka Tulou, and some people say that it is a Beijing Bird's Nest Dongxiang Nest.
In Dongcheng, it also has its own exclusive name "Tsukino Dongzhai", and it is also a tourism complex integrating food, accommodation, entertainment and leisure.
"Yueye" is taken from the Dong dialect and has the meaning of "collective guest", which is a traditional social custom of the Dong people. During the mutual visit, young boys and girls hold traditional activities such as songs, so the name also has the meaning of paying tribute to their own traditional culture.
In Dong County, although it is jokingly called a replica of the "Beijing Bird's Nest", it is actually very different from the Beijing Bird's Nest.
Unlike Beijing Bird's Nest, which is full of postmodern technology and cool appearance, Tsukino Dongzhai is a wooden structure throughout, and I can't tell which of the two is better.
But compared with the Beijing Bird's Nest, in addition to the hundreds of bird models that are made on the eaves around the venue, hundreds of bird models, Yueye Dongzhai can indeed be regarded as simple, simple and generous in other aspects, and it is also more local, which is what we often call "grounded gas".
At present, it is mainly used for local folk culture performances, and a stage with the characteristics of Dong ethnic culture is also set up in the center. At the same time, the large flower palanquin with Dong characteristics has also been put on the stage.
It is also a venue used by the Dong people for bullfighting competitions. The Dong bullfighting competition is held on the third of March every year. It has made a name for itself all over the world, and the scene is very grand, and it does not lose the sports competition of the Eight Classics at all.
If you are interested in bullfighting in Spain, it is also a good idea to come here to watch a bullfighting performance, but the Dong people will not enter in fancy clothes or have roses in their mouths. In the "gladiatorial arena" of a small county town in Guangxi, the bulls are the "gladiators" here.
