The doctor's wife, Junko, is suffering from tuberculosis and needs to move to a more livable environment. So the two came from the big city of Tokyo to their wife's hometown. Another day, someone came late at night to ask the doctor for a consultation, and when the doctor arrived at the destination, he found that no one was sick at all. While the doctor was leaving, the old man appeared in the hospital again, and she imitated the doctor's voice and let Junko open the door to attack her again. Junko has been seriously ill since then, and the doctor and brother gradually realize that something is wrong, and the two come to a local temple. The monks here seem to know something, and say that it all started more than two hundred years ago. The first owner of the mansion was a local samurai, tyrannical and capricious, and at the same time a Go lover, and one of his courtiers happened to be a Go master, so he invited him to come and play with him.
But in the process of playing chess, the samurai always wanted to repent. The courtiers could not bear this, reprimanded his villainous behavior, and wanted to leave, but the samurai became angry, drew his sword and killed the courtier, and together with the servants of the family, they built the dead body into the wall. The courtier's mother waits at home, but what awaits is the ghost of her son, who leaves physical evidence identifying the samurai as the murderer. The mother took physical evidence to find the samurai and complained to him, but was raped by the samurai who saw the sight. When the mother returned home, she thought she was powerless to resist the samurai, so she confronted the kittens in the house that night. The kitten appeared in the samurai mother's room and attached itself to her body.
Since then, many terrible things have happened in the house, and the samurai finally discovers his mother's abnormality and brings his family to investigate, and starts with his mother, who has become a cat demon, and the samurai flees in a hurry. Running to his son's room, he actually regarded his son as a dead courtier, and regarded his daughter-in-law as the mother of a courtier, and eventually had a fierce fight with his son, and the two were killed one by one. Since then, all the people in the house have moved away, and the place has slowly become a deserted house, leaving only cat demons wandering here.
The monk learned by checking the family tree that Junko and his brother were actually descendants of samurai, and the remaining grievances of the cat demon still had to kill the two, so moving the mansion flat and destroying the cat demon's nest was the most fundamental solution. When she returned home, the doctor was ready to start work the next day, but that night there was another thunderstorm, and the cat demon reappeared, and as she attacked Junko, one of the walls of the room collapsed, revealing the bones inside, and the cat demon disappeared. Junko and the doctor buried the bones, and the mansion returned to calm again.
