Fangchuan Village is located on the banks of the Tumen River, and there are more than 40 households and more than 130 villagers. Fangchuan Village belongs to the jurisdiction of Jingxin Town, Hunchun City, Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, with the Russian mountains on the left and the Tumen River and North Korea on the right, known as "looking at the scenery of the mountains and rivers of the Three Frontiers, listening to the chickens and dogs barking in the Three Kingdoms".
In order to guard the northeast gate of the motherland, in 1957, the Yanbian Military Sub-district stationed a border defense platoon to Fangchuan, and suggested that the local government immigrate here to implement joint military-civilian defense and declare sovereignty. At that time, The Jingxin Commune of Hunchun City mobilized 18 party member families to move to Fangchuan and established an administrative structure of Fangchuan Village. The sovereignty crisis of the "enclave" of Fangchuan has been resolved.
Today, we not only have the "first outpost in the East" in Fangchuan. Located on a hill on the border between China and Russia, this heroic post in Fangchuan Village is the easternmost border post in the country. Former Chinese leaders Jiang Zemin and Li Peng have visited this place many times to extend their condolences to all officers and men. Former President Jiang Zemin personally inscribed an inscription for the outpost as follows: "Be a good guard of the national gate and consolidate our Border Pass in China."
The scenic Fangchuan Scenic Area has also been built here. Completed in 1993, Wanghai Pavilion has 3 floors and 14 meters and stands on the east side of the Banchuan Outpost. Standing on the Wanghai Pavilion, you can overlook the Doman River in North Korea and the town of Baudgornaya in Russia, as well as the coastal plains full of lakes and swamps in front of you. 15 kilometers down the Tumen River from the village of Hocheon is the Sea of Japan. During the Tang Dynasty, The village of Fangchuan was once the only way to the Japanese Maritime Silk Road.
The "Tuzi Tablet" is located at the beginning of the Sino-Russian border in the village of Hunchun Jingxin, and was established at the eastern border of Hunchun in 1886. In 1886, Wu Dacheng, the Qing Dynasty's superintendent of the Lotus Lake Border Affairs, the left deputy governor of the Inspectorate, and the famous epigrapher, argued with the Russian survey officials to move the boundary monument erected by Russia at the Yangguan Ping to the north, thus regaining the place of Heidingzi (now Jingxin Town), which was illegally occupied by Russia. The "Earth Character Plate" is 1.44 meters long, 0.5 meters wide and 0.22 meters thick, and is granite. I have 3 large characters engraved in the middle of the side vertically, 8 small characters of "Guangxu 12th Year April Standing" on the left side vertically, and "T" characters engraved on the Russian side. The "Soil" card is intact and clearly written. This is the fifth boundary pillar of the Sino-Russian border erected at the same time.
