About the Author
let. Jono (1895-1970), born in Manosque, Provence, France, is a famous French writer and screenwriter of films, and is considered one of the most famous writers in France in the twentieth century. He worked as an infantryman during World War I and became a staunch pacifist after experiencing tragic scenes. Jono's works won many awards, and some of his works were put on the screen. let. Gionor was awarded the French Medal of Honor in 1932 and the Prince of Monaco Prize in 1953 for all his works. Most of Jean Gionor's works are set in his hometown and surrounding areas, the Alps and Provence. Manosque has a center in honor of his Jean Gionor, and a street called Jean Giorno Street. Representative works include "Strong Friend", "Hussar on the Roof", "Tree Planter", "Baker's Wife" and so on.
