As things stand, Messi and Kylian Mbappe, who have already qualified for the World Cup final, are tied for the top scorers, with both scoring five goals.
But they all have strong contenders in their respective teams, such as Argentina's Julián Álvarez and France's Olivier Giroud, who have scored four goals each, just behind the two of them. It is worth mentioning that Giroud has surpassed Thierry Henry to become the most goalscored player in the history of the French team in the World Cup.
The Golden Boot award is mainly determined by the number of goals scored by the player in this edition of the cup, but if there is a situation after the match where the same number of goals is scored, then the award will be determined based on the criterion of more assists and less playing time.
At the moment, Messi has contributed three assists for Argentina (the most tied player in this tournament), while Mbappe has contributed two assists for his French team-mate. However, these could all change in the final, where Messi played 570 minutes, far more than Mbappe's 477.

Golden Globe Awards
The Ballon d'Or is an award given to the best performing player in the World Cup, and the selection process is subjective and is decided by the global media voting on the shortlist drawn up by FIFA's technical committee.
While the final result may depend on the outcome of the final, it is almost certain that Messi and Mbappe are the two main contenders for the 2022 Ballon d'Or.
Midfielders Luka Modric, Anthony Griezmann, Livakovic and Akhraf Hakimi are also on the list, but the competitiveness seems to be slightly less than Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

Golden Glove Award
The Golden Glove Award is given to the best goalkeeper in the World Cup. Since its inception in 1994, some of the biggest names such as Oliver Kahn, Ickel Casillas, Manuel Neuer and Gianluigi Buffon have all won the award.
The Golden Glove Award is more subjective than the Golden Boot, and the winners are decided by the FIFA Technical Study Group, often referred to as the "technical committee". In the event of an impasse in the deliberations, the goalkeeper who has improved the most in the competition is chosen as the winner. If the two sides still fail to decide, the award will be decided first based on the criteria of the most saves and then the longest appearance.
Amy Martínez (Argentina), Hugo Lloris (France), Dominic Livakovic (Croatia) and Yassin Bunu (Morocco) are the four goalkeepers who enter the last two matches of the 2022 World Cup.
At the World Cup in Qatar, the advantage of Bonu, Livakovic and Martinez is more pronounced, as they have all won at least one penalty shootout.
