The green-browed emerald (lì), a genus of green-browed emerald ducks in the family Dharma monks of the family Cyprinidae, is a small and medium-sized climbing bird with a total of 7 subspecies differentiation: nominal, Salvadoran, Mexican, Honduras, Caribbean, Guatemala, and Costa Rica. It is found in Central America from southeastern Mexico to Costa Rica, where it inhabits open environments such as forest edges and jungles. It is the national bird of El Salvador and Nicaragua.

The body plumage is mainly olive green , and the back and abdomen are yellowish brown or reddish-brown.
