The 2022 North Bund International Shipping Forum, themed "Jointly Promoting the New Development of Green, Smart and Resilient Global Shipping Industry", kicked off this morning (November 22) at the World Meeting Room on the North Bund in Shanghai.
Chen Jining, Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, attended the opening event and launched the 2022 North Bund International Shipping Forum. Minister of Transport Li Xiaopeng and Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Mayor Gong Zheng attended and delivered speeches.
The opening event of the forum will be held at the same time in Beijing and Shanghai.

At the opening ceremony, Pakistan's Minister of Maritime Affairs, Said Faisal Sabzwari, the Minister of Infrastructure and Water of the Netherlands, Mark Habers, and the Minister of Maritime Transport and Island Policy of Greece Ioannis Prakiotakis delivered speeches via video. Representatives of international shipping bodies and leading companies such as the International Chamber of Shipping, the Baltic International Chamber of Shipping, the International Association of Classification Societies, the International Air Transport Association, the International Association of Ports, the Airports Association, the International Group of Shipowners' P&I Clubs, the International Marine Insurance Union, the Hong Kong Shipowners' Association, MSC, A.P.
