Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Disney's Aladdin closed in March 2020 and reopened this month at the New Amsterdam Theatre on Broadway.
Michael Mariaker, who had just appeared on The Phantom of the Opera for its 25th anniversary performance, starred in the lead roles aladdin, Shoba Narayan starred as Jasmine, and Narayan's previous broadway performances included "The Magical Bad Witch" and "The Great Comet of 1812" in 1812.
Zach Benkar played the genie and Frank Vivilos served as the genie/sultan/babukak substitute, and the two joined the Broadway cast after a North American tour.
