In the original "Nuns Are Crazy", Urby Goldberg played a black female singer in a nightclub, Dilauris, who accidentally met the underworld leader Vince (Harvey Keitel) and instructed her men to kill people. The lively and active Dilauris was also restless in the convent, and she sang popular songs in the choir, but the lyrics were slightly changed.
The film was a huge success after its release, eventually grossing $230 million worldwide, and in 1993 it released a sequel, Sisters Are Crazy 2, and starring Ubi Goldberg also rose to fame.
