What surprised me about this animated film was that its thematic idea, which I did not expect, was an interpretation of the human side of the old film. In the old manor, the heir of the manor, Carrigan, was insatiably greedy and disgusted with the elves who lived here together. Always trying to get rid of them, even if they have no malice.
Heir Carrigan invited Dr. Harvey, a famous ghost researcher, to help him destroy the elves. Unexpectedly, Dr. Harvey's daughter Kate, a kind and lovely girl, she found that the elves were not as hateful as Carrigan described, they were good little guys, and they had no malice toward humans.
The interesting thing about the story is that the little girl and the elf formed a deep friendship and became good friends. It is learned that the elves frighten Karrigan, the heir to the farm, because they know that she is an insatiable greedy fellow.
The climax of the story is when Dr. Harvey discovers a living machine, but Carrigan follows them to discover the secret. Her essence is exposed and she wants to take such a treasure for herself. Carrigan even turned himself into a pixy, hoping that in this way, his evil wish would be fulfilled.
A story that makes the audience squirm, there is no breakpoint in the whole process, and when I watch "Ghost Horse Elf", there is no jumping scene. The story is interlocked, worthy of our careful tasting, behind the elf's scare, is its loneliness without friends, it plays pranks in the hope that someone can pay attention to it, and make friends with it.

I didn't expect that such an animated movie that made me laugh was trying to express the loneliness of the elves. If you don't say such a theme, it is easy to impress the audience's heart.
