Created by the ace producers of The Great Thief Robbery and The Justice Defender, Ghost Gate was filmed in a real abandoned building in Baochuan City, Gyeonggi Province. Director Shen Degen said: "The abandoned building is actually very scary, especially when a person walks in the corridor, he will feel the shivering cold, and I also expect the audience to feel this directly."

King Kong then challenged horror films for the first time from her film career, and actress Kim So-hye won the Golden Photography Award and the "Best Newcomer Actress Award" at the Busan Film Critics Association Awards in 2019 through the movie "Secret Friend Forbidden Land" (title also translated as "Zhi Yunxi"), but she is very afraid of ghosts, and she also has some trepidation to interpret a role that is not afraid of ghosts: "I am afraid of ghosts, and I am afraid of sleeping alone when I sleep at night." Because it was the opposite role to me, it made me miserable for a long time."

The plot of "Ghost Gate" describes a creepy mass murder incident in a training center in 1990. Since then, bizarre suicides or fatalities have occurred in the ashram, which has also caused the monastery to finally close and be abandoned for many years. Dojin (played by King Kong), the director of the Spiritual Research Institute with a spiritual constitution, comes to the training center in order to uncover the mysterious cause of the witch's mother's exorcism at the training center, and meets the college student who shoots the horror image here and intends to win the competition prize money. As they went deeper into it, the situation was relatively out of control; those powerful ghosts who were haunting the cultivation institute stretched out their claws at them. "Ghost Gate" will be released on Taiwan on August 25 (Wednesday).
