"Shanghai School" is a historical vocabulary born under the interweaving of time and space, from the painting of Shanghai in the late Qing Dynasty and early Min Dynasty to Peking Opera, and then transmitted to the fields of literature and media. An Xue Qiu painting exhibition

Born in 1931, Xue Wei adhered to the family learning, learning poetry, books and painting from his father, mainly landscapes, and first learned Dong Beiyuan and Huang Dazhuo. His works have been exhibited many times at home and abroad, and he has lectured in Germany. In 2022, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Zhilan Society, the words of the "Declaration of the Decisive Land" are still in the ears, and a generation of Chinese and Western fusion artists represented by Pang Xuanxuan and Yang Sun have explored different Chinese art paths in the twists and turns, providing effective experience for today's Chinese art. From 1972 to 1974, the Hunan Provincial Museum and the Institute of Archaeology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences jointly excavated the Mawangdui Han Tomb that shocked the world, and more than 3,000 precious cultural relics were unearthed in the three tombs, including lacquered wood, painted pottery, bronze, handwritten paintings, silk clothing and other more than a dozen types, among which the body of Mrs. Xin Chai unearthed in Tomb No. 1 was complete in appearance, moist all over the body, and even the fingerprints of hands and feet were still clearly visible, which can be called an immortal miracle that lasted for two thousand years.

The Classic of the Plate - Shang Zhou Bronze Plate Special Exhibition

The exhibition selects 20 exquisite bronze plates and related cultural relics from the Shang Dynasty to the Warring States period, most of which are national first-class cultural relics. The second batch of 69 treasures from the Palace Museum has been unveiled at the Hong Kong Palace Museum since October. The 69 precious artifacts, all of which are treasures of the Palace Museum, will be used to rotate from the opening of the Hong Kong Palace Museum, including paintings and calligraphy, textiles and other fragile and light-sensitive works. Key exhibits include "Wei Arc Won Deer Map", which depicts Qianlong riding and shooting in the Mulan paddock, the legendary animal picture book "Beast Tree", and the pink and green glaze washing of Song Guan kiln. For conservation reasons, works made of these materials were only exhibited for three months.

With 133 pieces (groups) of treasures from the courtyard's collection, the exhibition shows the wonderful life and career of Wang Shizhen (1526-1590), an important historian and literary scholar of the Ming Dynasty, and then glimpses the cultural grandeur of the late Ming Dynasty, understands the cultural life full of creativity and diversified competition at that time, and sees through the eyes of Wang Shizhen's historians.
Among the eight paintings and calligraphy in this exhibition belong to the limited exhibition of the National Palace Museum in Taipei, including Wang Xizhi's "Qing Post in Fast Snow", Huai Su's "Self-Narrative Post", Dong Yuan's "Longsu Suburban People's Map", Zhao Mengfu's "Quehua Autumn Colors", etc., all of which are famous sites in the history of art.

National treasures on display are mainly Japanese cultural relics, from the statue of a Haniwa armed man from the Kofun period, the gold and silver dragon head water bottle of the Asuka period, to the Peacock Meiwang Statue of the Heian period, the "Autumn and Winter Landscape Map" of the Muromachi period, to the "Matsurashi Picture Screen" of the Azuchi-Momoyama period, and the "Rakuchu Rakuro Outer Map Screen" of the Edo period, allowing viewers to see the masterpieces of Japanese art from various eras.
