A small unit in Tanzhou Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province, recently ushered in an uninvited guest, a monitor lizard "trespassed into people's houses", the result was captured by the residents, more dangerously slaughtered and cooked, becoming the food in the belly of others.
It is understood that the captured monitor lizard is about 1 meter long, weighs nearly 10 kilograms, has a short neck, is gray brown all over the body, and has multiple rows of yellow dots on the back, which is very similar to the signs of the plain monitor lizard. Unsure whether the monitor lizard was aggressive, the firefighters were "fully armed" on the left and right sides, slowly introducing it into the yarn bag.
After investigation, it was learned that the monitor lizard was captured by a shop owner and his friend, and at one point it was intended to be eaten, but later considered that it might be a protected animal, so he called the police for help. However, the police at the scene could not determine the type of monitor lizard, so they notified the fire department to send someone to capture it, and then temporarily placed in the fire station and then dealt with separately.
Network data show that the plains monitor lizard comes from the African savannah, belongs to a more temperate type, adult body length of up to 1.2 meters, because of its low sense of attack, so it is easy to breed.
